Abstract

A person's drug-taking supervisor is the one who ensures the regularity of taking medication for TB sufferers. The role of PMO in the process of treating TB patients is not only limited to treating TB patients, but also to prevent transmission of TB to other family members. Health education for TB PMOs, particularly about the mode of transmission and prevention of transmission, is very much needed so that PMOs can change attitudes in preventing transmission properly. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on drug taking supervisors (PMO) of TB patients on the attitude of preventing TB transmission in the working area of ??the Cakranegara Health Center.


This research is a quasi-experimental design research with one group pre-test - post-test design. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. The study population was drug taking supervisor (PMO) of all TB patients who were still undergoing routine treatment in the working area of ??the Cakranegara Health Center, with a sample of 50 people. With statistical test analysis that is Wilcoxon pair test. The research instrument was a questionnaire with the extension method.


            The results of this study are the Effect of Health Education on Taking Drugs (PMO) of TB Patients on Attitudes to Prevent TB Transmission in the Work Area of ??the Cakranegara Health Center in 2019.


This study concludes that, the attitude of drug supervisors (PMO) with TB patients regarding TB disease prevention in the working area of ??the Cakranegara Health Center is mostly, and the effect of Health Education on TB Prevention Drug Supervisors (PMO) on TB Disease Prevention Attitudes in the Cakranegara Health Center Work Area. .
